ACCESS FOR ALL
We believe that every kid deserves the chance to play sports, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances.
We work tirelessly to break down the financial barriers that can limit a child's ability to participate in sports.
Empowerment through sports
Sports have the incredible ability to empower children. Through teamwork, discipline, and the joy of physical activity, kids build confidence, develop crucial life skills, and form lasting friendships.
Passport To Play is committed to creating opportunities for empowerment through sports.
How we help
We offer programs, program referrals & facilitate funding that helps kids from income-restricted families participate in sports so they too, can experience the benefits of playing.
What parents have to say
Skills
Our Coaches are a critical part of keeping youth teams intact and giving kids the opportunity to play.
Our Coaches focus on skill development that benefits children long after they exit the playing field. Our goal is to build healthy happy humans. They are committed to the development of each player as well as the team as a whole.
Each program session consists of a combination of skill based instruction and game play.
*If we do not offer programs in your region, we may refer you to our Partner Programs.
costs
The cost to enroll a child into organized sports is on the rise. This increase coupled with soaring inflation has led to a whopping 44% of Canadian families unable shoulder the expense. The average cost per year for a child to play is $953. Approximately 82% of us know a child unable to play as a result of financial constraints.
equipment
Knee pads, sneakers and helmets... OH MY!
As every parent knows, registration fees are only half the battle.
Athletic equipment is expensive and children grow every year which means costly new gear must be purchased regularly. Thanks to our generous corporate donors and volunteers who graciously host athletic gear drives, we are able to provide new or gently used sports equipment as needed ensuring safe game play for every child.

Referral-Based
Our organization is dedicated to prioritizing families in need, which is why we operate on a referral basis recommended by social workers and counselors.
This ensures that our support reaches those who require it most, including families navigating challenges such as economic stress, a lack of emotional support, food insecurity or community safety following violence from a former partner.
Confidentiality
To uphold privacy and safety, we refrain from publicly listing our program locations on our website.
Access to program details and registration is limited to individuals who have received a referral from trusted sources.
This precautionary measure creates a secure environment where families can confidently enroll their children in our sports programs, knowing they are protected from potential risks and unexpected encounters.
